Se você é já um editor com conhecimentos do código wiki, tenha em atenção as seguintes recomendações: coloque em outra(s) página(s) uma ligação para qualquer página que você criar, senão ela vai aparecer na lista de verbetes órfãos e algum outro usuário vai ter que corrigir/completar o seu trabalho; coloque saídas para outros verbetes, senão o seu verbete vai aparecer na lista de páginas sem saída e algum outro usuário vai ter que corrigir/completar o seu trabalho; categorize seu verbete, senão ele vai aparecer na lista de verbetes não categorizados e algum outro usuário vai ter que corrigir/completar o seu trabalho; crie as eventuais categorias novas que você usar em seu verbete, senão elas aparecerão na lista de categorias pedidas e algum outro usuário vai ter que corrigir/completar o seu trabalho; neste projeto verbetes com iniciais maiúsculas e minúsculas são entradas à parte; assim, Brasil e brasil têm significados bem diferentes; Esta é a sua página de discussão, na qual pode receber mensagens de outros Usuários. Categories

(I'm sorry for my bad english)

I've noticed that you are creating new categories, but we have rules to categories, and one of them is that "categories are always written in the singular". This way, categories like Sistemas are wrong and should be deleted. Jesiel_通信 19h04min de 4 de abril de 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for the reminder. I modified "Categoria:Sistemas" to "Categoria:Sistema". I should like to add, however, that I always check with "Wikipedia" of the wiktionary where I work, to make certain that my creations are consistent with theirs. In this current case, too, I had first checked with Categoria:Sistemas in the Português Wikipedia.

One more thing:

Sure! I know this rule (singular rather than plural) for categories now, and will make sure to follow. For my own personal learning, however, it is interesting and instructive to learn how on this wiktionary you have arrived at this rule. This is due to the fact that for every wikipedia, and every wiktionary that I have visited or have worked in so far, majority of categories have been in plural form.

In the end, I have also created one more category in plural: Categoria:Dados. "Dados" (data in English) is a plural form used in most languages in the sense that is used in informatics, I believe. So, I left that one untouched.

Hello. I don't know why this community have decided by the singular forms on categories names, and I think that "Sistemas" and "Dados" are better words to a category name than "Sistema" or "Dado". Please, contact the user User:ValJor who is an user older than me here (and speaks English) and who can tell you about this rule and explain you all you want to know. :-) Jesiel_通信 15h20min de 5 de abril de 2010 (UTC) (I speak English like Tarzan.)

Double redirect and orphaned pages

Hi Sa'y!

Please look at the lists of double redirects and orphaned pages. There are some entries in Persian in these lists. Can you take care of them for us? Thanks.

Plurals

Hi, Sa'y!

At pt.wiktionary, we don't detail if a noun is plural form. We only categorize it as noun form (i.e. Categoria:Forma de substantivo (Tadjique)). That is not valid for pluralia tantum though, which should be put in its own category (such as Categoria:Pluralia tantum (Inglês), for English).

There are still some "Plural" categories lying around but they will be emptied and eliminated at some point.

No redirects, please

Hi Sa'y!

Here in pt.wikt we don't like redirects that much (I have been trying to get rid of all redirects that we have), so I would like to ask you not to create redirects. If a word exists, it deserves an entry of its own. Even if it is just a plural of some other word, for instance. Thanks.

I have created a few redirects, however, they are serving for arrivals and connections from other wiktionaries. I didn't know redirects could happen to be harmful in some sense.

Sorry, I wasn't too clear on my first message: I have been deleting redirects that are not used. If they have interwikis, for instance, I would not delete them.

But, again, I would say that if an expression deserves an entry, then it deserves a full entry, not just a redirect. Redirects make sense on wikipedia, but here on wiktionary, I think all entries deserve to be real entries and not redirects.
